Ceanothus Pacific Wave
Pacific Wave Californian Lilac produces dense clusters of rich blue flowers in spring on a compact, low-mounding form that stays under 60cm in height but spreads to 1-1.5m wide. It is lower and more ground-hugging than Blue Pacific, which makes it better suited to banks, slopes, and positions where a prostrate effect is wanted rather than a mounding shrub. The blue of the flower is one of the truest available in any woody plant - vivid and saturated in a way that reads strongly in the garden even at a distance. Full sun. Excellent drainage essential - will not tolerate waterlogged soil. Drought tolerant once established.
