Geraldton Wax - Chamelaucium Free Spirit

Geraldton Wax - Chamelaucium Free Spirit

One of Western Australia's most celebrated native plants, grown for masses of small, waxy flowers in late winter and spring - white, pink, magenta, or purple depending on variety - and is outstanding as a cut flower. It's native to the WA coast north of Perth, perfectly adapted to sandy coastal soils, dry summers, and the specific conditions of our region. Geraldton Wax is notably sensitive to overwatering and poor drainage - plant in the most well-drained position you have, never irrigate in summer once established. Prune hard after flowering each spring to maintain compact shape and promote next year's flowers. Low-phosphorus native fertiliser only.
