Canary Island Ivy - Hedera Canariensis
Canary Island Ivy produces leaves significantly larger than standard English Ivy - broad, bold, and three to five lobed, with a lush, tropical quality quite different to the fine-textured standard forms. It is vigorous and fast-establishing, excellent for covering large areas of shaded wall, difficult slopes, and dry shade under established trees. The scale of the foliage creates a strong textural presence. Part to full shade. Adaptable soils. Tolerates dry shade better than most groundcovers. Drought tolerant once established. Trim hard to control size and spread.
