Russelia Ruby Falls
Ruby Falls Firecracker Plant produces the same extraordinary cascading habit as the standard form - a fountain of rush-like stems arching outward and downward under their own weight, smothered in small tubular flowers almost continuously through the warm season - but in a particularly rich ruby-red that is more intense than the standard orange-red. It grows to around 1-1.2m across and works exceptionally well draped over a retaining wall, cascading from a raised bed, or planted at the top of a slope where the weeping stems can fall freely. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
